Richard and Kate’s wedding at Heythrop Park in Oxford

Some of you may know Richard as the man behind our partner cinematography company, FX Films, but he and his now wife Kate are also some of our best friends. We were honoured to be asked to do their wedding photography in exchange for the great video Richard did for us back when we got married. Before you ask, it was Reel Vision that did his video!

The ceremony was at the magnificent Heythrop Park and the day was every bit as fantastic as Kate and Rich had planned, even down to the vibrant pink and purple colour scheme matching perfectly with the beautiful sunshine (one of the hottest days of the year no less).

Nikki Loy entertained everyone during the drinks and canapes, and after a few glasses during dinner everyone hit the bouncy castle and surf simulator before making their way to the dancefloor (both of us included, Laura can be seen rocking out in the pictures below) and then heading outside to watch the new Mr and Mrs Wakefield release some sky lanterns.

Most of the photography was covered by just myself with Laura covering the more main parts of the day as we were both guests also.

Finally, the day was nicely rounded off with Kate discovering that the hotel bar was open until 2:30am!

Lovely work! I’m only so that we managed to get our fat heads in one or two of the shots!

All the best,

I just can’t stop looking at these! Is it possible to wear a blog out?!! Thank you so much for these beautiful photos. I haven’t seen the others yet but I’m sure they’re just as amazing. I don’t know how you got some of these shots – you were so unobtrusive! I had no idea you were there most of the time! I hope you enjoyed the day as much as we did. xx

David and Jane’s wedding at The Lansdowne Club, Mayfair, London

Henley and I headed right into the heart of  London for David and Janes wedding at the beautiful venue of The Lansdowne Club, a private members club just off Berkley Square in Mayfair.

Jane and David definitely dropped themselves in the thick of it, organising and having their wedding at the same time as both starting new jobs, buying a house and Jane graduating – no mean feat! They picked the beautiful Lansdowne Club for their day which has a stunning opulant ballroom that was fantastic for photography, and had an amazing old school glamour and art deco feel to it.

The colour scheme was red, a traditional Chinese wedding colour as it signifies good luck and prosperity, which looked lovely in the gold and cream ballroom. Jane looked absolutely beautiful in her Suzanne Neville wedding dress, although did say it wasn’t the most comfortable thing she had ever worn!
