Kelly and Dom’s wedding at Polhawn Fort

Kelly and Dom were guests at Kat and James’s wedding we shot back last year. Since then, we have followed Kelly’s plans for her wedding day at the stunning setting of Polhawn Fort.

The day itself started off misty and grey, not ideal weather but gave a dramatic windswept feel to the fort and with the views over the English Channel from the bridal suite. The fort is very atmospheric on the inside and the arched brickwork in the ceremony room, drapes and fairy lights made it feel very cosy while the winds howled outside.

After the ceremony, the rain stopped, the fog cleared and best of all the sun came out briefly allowing for a few photos on the beach before the wedding breakfast and inevitable letting down of hair!

Tom and Laura’s wedding at Maunsel House, Somerset

Laura and Tom are such a great couple, they wanted the day to be relaxed and allow their guests to relax, drink and be merry and the day had a real atmosphere of mutual love for the two of them. Lauras sister and bridesmaid Beth has to also get a mention for being so super organised, and a fantastic support for her sister.

Maunsel House really has to be seen to be appreciated – the owner Sir Benjamin Slade and his wife Kirsty have painstakingly filled each room with family heirlooms photos and portraits mixed in with guns (lots of guns!), stuffed animals and plenty of hats. Sounds bizarre, but it is excellent. In the hallway there is a stuffed bear with a pipe in his mouth, a lion wearing a police helmet in the drawing room, and a genuine stuffed Dodo in the bar!

Beautiful photography of a beautiful day – have to say though, that location is a-ma-zing. So great!

Keep up the good work.

Fantastic pictures! What a gorgeous couple they make. I was lucky enough to attend the wedding and reception and it was wonderful.

I wish Tom and Laura a happy life together. Love Kirsten. X

Jenna and Phils wedding at Bickleigh Castle

There was a lot of love at the picturesque Bickleigh Castle when Jenna and Phil got married. The love between the couple was obvious, and the love from their friends and family was evident by the emotions throughout the ceremony and the speeches. There was also lots of dancing, fun, laughter and did I mention dancing?!

Jenna had spent a year and half planning the wedding, so it was great to see everything come together on the day. They had also managed to keep the amazing fireworks at the end of the night as a surpirse from their guests who thought they were breaking off dancing to go and see Jenna throw her bouquet.

Jenna looked an absolute vision in her gorgeous custom made fishtail gown which appeared to be no problem to dance in as can be seen in the evening photos below!

We also had the pleasure of working with Life Video Productions who are producing Jenna and Phil’s wedding video.

Below are a few of our personal favourites from the day.
