Lauren had originally planned her and Tims big day at a different venue, and was devastated when the venue was shut down months before the wedding, leaving them to find somewhere else at short notice. She then found the fantastic seaside venue of The Christchurch Harbour Hotel as an alternative (and which she later admitted to me that she much preferred to the original venue) and which truly is a beautiful hotel and wedding location.
Lauren gave herself the task of planning and making so many of the details for the day, as well as having to completely change the venue. she managed to somehow find time to make the save-the-dates and invitations, the centrepieces, the seating chart, the bouquet for chucking, customised her shoes and bolero as well as organising her two fantastic outfits for the day!
The wedding was quite an alternative ‘rock’ style, with the colour scheme being fuschia pink, deep purple and black. Lauren co-ordinated perfectly with her purple and pink make up and hair streaks, as did her mum who proudly walked Lauren down the aisle, and we also loved that one of her and Tims friends had dyed his hair purple for the day, that’s true friendship!
The weather was gorgeous, and meant the happy couple and guests could while the afternoon away on the terrace overlooking the sea drinking pimms and champagne, before Lauren changed for the evening reception into her fantastic 50s style dress complete with fuschia sash, matching shoes and lace fingerless gloves to dance the night away.
All in all, a wonderful day with a lovely couple. Lauren and Tim – you guys rock! x
