London Marathon 2013 – Completed

After the training, injuries and fear of doing our first marathon we both ran and completed it. The London Marathon was an amazing experience with around 736,000 people attending (36,000 of those were runners) the atmosphere was electric. Street parties lined the roads, people hung out of their windows to cheer and a waves of support came from the sidelines every step of the way. Crossing the finish line felt fantastic, finally completing a marathon in itself is a big achievement for us coming from being able to run for about 30 seconds at a time just a few years ago!

We have so far managed to raise just under £1500 for Leukaemia CARE by running the marathon, thank you to all our donators and this amount is still rising. If you would like to donate to this worthy cause, you can do so using our Just Giving page.

Even though we were there to run the marathon, we couldn’t help but take a camera. London is like a sweet shop for a street photographer and while we didn’t get a lot of time we did manage to grab a few on our journey.

Massive congratulations Team Lime Leaf, an awesome achievement. You both must be really pleased. As for your images, I love the composition of the image with the Bubble (telecabine or gondola in between the buildings. Stunning.

Laser Cut Wedding Invites

This morning the postman dropped a wedding invite through our letterbox. The invite was from a couple who’s wedding we’re photographing later this year. When we met up with them, not only did we end up over their parents house to meet their family for a cuppa tea, but also Graham and Olivia were telling us about their special custom designed and laser cut invites. As they’re having their wedding reception at a Deer Park, they wanted to go with a suitable theme. We think they’ve turned out brilliantly, below is a small part of the invite:
