I love Christmas time in London, as its impossible to not feel festive with the fantastic lights and the buzz and so I was really excited about David and Bernadettes wedding in early December.
The ceremony was at St Saviours Church in Pimlico, and the ceremony was at The Savile Club, a stunning 18th century members club, a stones throw from Claridges in Mayfair. The Savile Club (so called as it once used to be based on Savile Row) has a stunning ballroom with huge sweeping staircase all in an elegant Louis XVI style as it has been for over 100 years.
Bernadette looked the epitome of a beautiful bride in her long silk and lace dress, and David couldn’t have been happier to see her elegantly make her way down the aisle to him. After the romantic church ceremony (complete with fantastic singers) the guests headed off for The Savile Club in the routemaster buses laden with champagne, while the new Mr and Mrs Plowman headed there in a vintage taxi having some time alone together before the reception.
Bernadette had enlisted the wonderful wedding planner Amanda Sherlock to make sure the day only went with the one hitch, and who made sure the day went like clockwork for the happy couple whilst making sure to stay in the background, I would highly recommend her for anyone needing a wedding planner as she and her team were all brilliant on the day.
You may also recognise Ben and Rachel in a few of the photos below, whose wedding we covered at Brympton back in 2010 and who introduced us to Bernadette and David. Thanks guys it was great to see you both again.
Below are a few of our personal favourites from the day.
